Items Discussed:
ERT: ERT members will take over restocking
the first aid kits on base. Each kit will also need to
be labeled with location number and emergency call numbers.
EAGLES: Leeman reported on the preliminary
EAGLES base scores. Final scores will post online and in all
areas. January 1st will be the first recognition. The
EAGLES Committee will be meeting soon and will provide numbers
to managers and managing directors by next week.
SAFETY STAND DOWN: The Safety Stand Down
will be available for viewing online. Some comments received
were people talked too fast and it was hard to hear due to the
sound system.
VPP: The VPP group reported very little
progress has been made. Lanyards that were reported
at a past meeting as being ordered are now on hold.
LAV SHOP: Members from the LAV Shop reported
that there is not an air line for the sanding booth in the shop.
Currently the shop is using a makeshift line that is running across
the floor which created a tripping hazard. A line needs
to be installed from the ceiling to prevent someone from tripping.
A work order has been called in; however, the item received a low
priority. Jerry
Davidson to follow up with Facilities and ensure this safety
item is taken care of.
SAFETY GLASSES: It will be mandatory to
wear safety glasses in all designated areas on base after January
1st.
TAESL RECORDS: This area in TAESL needs
hand rails and several loading and unloading docks for fear of
someone falling off and being injured.
FALL PROTECTION FOR STOCK CLERKS: Michael
Jackson reported that it has been noticed that the Stock Clerks
do not have any fall protection when loading and unloading items.
An extended walkway was reported to be in work. Greg Lee
is the contact.
SAFETY HOTLINE: Leeman reported that a
safety hotline will be coming soon. This new reporting system
will prioritize safety issues that are reported and allow for people
to report items anonymously.
Next JSC meeting: Tuesday, December 12 at 1300 in the TAESL management
conference room.
