The Passing of Brother Randy Ray

It is with a deep sense of sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our colleague, DFW Aircraft Maintenance Technician who also worked at AFW, Brother Randy Ray, who passed away Saturday. Randy was part of the AA family for 34 years. He will be greatly missed. Please keep Randy's family in your thoughts and prayers.

Worker's Memorial Day is a holiday observed worldwide on April 28th. Also known as International Workers' Memorial Day, this holiday serves as a remembrance for all those workers who have been maimed, injured, disabled, made sick, or killed by their job.

What’s new: Six teams of American aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) are competing in this year’s Aerospace Maintenance Council Competition (AMC). The competition is held in Chicago April 9–11 in conjunction with the annual Aviation Week’s MRO Americas conference.

Safety+Health. Is your shoulder stiff after a day at work? Can you rotate your arm? Do you feel as though it’s not operating at full strength? A shoulder injury can occur as a result of a repetitive process, according to the Texas Department of Insurance’s Division of Workers’ Compensation.

The Passing of Brother Willy Opoka.

It is with a deep sense of sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our colleague, DFW Aircraft Maintenance Technician who also worked at AFW, Brother Willy Opoka, who passed away this morning. Willie was part of our AA family for 36 years. Please keep Willy Opoka family in your thoughts and prayers. We will update everyone when more becomes available.

It is with a deep sense of sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our colleague, DFW Aircraft Maintenance Technician who also worked at AFW, Brother Douglas Smith, who passed away yesterday. Doug was just at work last Wednesday and had been part of the AA family for 34 years. He will be greatly missed.
